Diwali Utsav at KCIS (DEEPOTSAV) - Event Gallery

"Light is the symbol of divinity and knowledge and to spread and share the light of knowledge and happiness."

KCIS celebrated 'Deepo Mahotsav' for two consecutive days on account of Diwali. On November 2, KCIS Super kids celebrated the festival of lights with great joy and devotion. Students were delighted while making Diwali craft and excitedly they helped their teachers to display it in the corridors of their wing.

The highlights of the Ramayana were depicted by little KCites through role play.The children in the get up of Goddess Laxmi, Lord Ganesha and Goddess Saraswati were worshipped by Principal Mr. Subhendu Sarkar during aarti.

Different competitions were organised for students on the same day.

  • Greeting Card making competition was held for Grade 1 to 5.
  • Grade 6 & onwards were engaged in Toran making, soft board decoration, and threshold decor.
  • Also Inter-house Rangoli & Diya making competition was organised where students from Grade 8 to 12 participated from their respective houses with the theme 'Colours of Humanity'.
    Vice-chairman, Mr. Chaitanya Choudhary being the Chief guest along with Principal, Vice-principal, Coordinators & House masters lightened the traditional lamp. 30 parents were present as Guests of honour & judges for the event.
  • In Rangoli making competition, Emerald House bagged first position followed by Ruby House at second & Topaz House at third position.

In Diya making competition, Sapphire House stood first, Emerald House second & Ruby House at third position. The competition was organised under the supervision of Activity Co-ordinator, Mrs. Rajni Malhotra.

On November 3 morning, Principal Mr. Subhendu Sarkar, Vice-principal Mrs. Anupama Sinha, Head Mistress Mrs. Nidhi Bhosle & Activity Co-ordinator Mrs. Rajni Malhotra worshipped Goddess Lakshmi.

  • A special assembly was organised, wherein students displayed dance, devotional song, a play, all based on the theme 'Being Human'.
  • Students from Grade 12 shared their joyful Diwali memories they have gathered at KCIS.

Respected Principal blessed the students success, prosperity and good health and also encouraged the kids to celebrate an eco friendly Diwali.
