KC International School celebrated Raksha Bandhan

"Priceless thread, Rakhi is the epitome of love between brother & sister"

KCIS celebrated Raksha Bandhan with great ardour and gaiety for two consecutive days. The celebrations began on Friday with the preprimary students coming dressed in their colourful best for Rakhi tying. The sight of little KCIS Super Kids in their traditional attires was one to behold. A Rakhi Card Making Competition was conducted successfully for Classes 1-5. The students made beautiful cards and wrote touching messages for their siblings. A Rakhi Making Competition was also held for Classes 6-10. The students’ used their creativity and ingenuity to create dazzling Rakhis.

The Day 2 of Raksha Bandhan celebration commenced with a special morning assembly conducted by the Emerald House. A talk was presented to mark the significance of the occasion. This was followed by a captivating dance performance by students to honour the brother-sister bond and love. The underscore of the program was the tying of ‘rakhis’ by girls to boys. This initiative was supported by the Activity Coordinator Mrs. Rajni Malhotra by tying a ‘rakhi’ to the Principal, Mr Subhendu Sarkar. The program concluded with the principal addressing the students and inspiring them to always cherish this bond of love with their siblings.

On this occasion the students of class 11th and 12th along with the teachers, honoured the tradition of kite-flying on Raksha Bandhan. The competition was a picture of excitement and thrill and was a befitting end to the two day celebration.
