KCIS Celebrated World Heritage Day




"A nation's culture resides in the hearts and in the soul of its people."

In order to make students familiar about their culture and heritage ; KC INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL conducted a special assembly with great zeal and enthusiasm.
Ms. Surbhi Goindi, taking lead of special assembly quoted a speech to highlight the significance of WORLD HERITAGE DAY and described the need to preserve our golden heritage. Students of class 7th A recited beautiful poems and also performed a beautiful skit by enacting as different ancient monuments and describing their relevance in the world.

To promote cultural heritage and raise awareness about its diversity, Primary Wing also celebrated World Heritage Day on 18th April 2022. As part of the celebration students experienced the varied flavours of the country’s rich cultural legacy through a special assembly, talks, colouring activity, a seminar etc.

The day started off well with a special assembly presented by the students of Grade 4 and 5, wherein they laid emphasis on the conservation of historical sites under the guidance of Ms Shilpi.
Students of Grade 1 and 2 became acquainted with an ivory-white marble mausoleum on the south bank of the Yamuna river, the Taj Mahal.

Whereas, Grade 3 students attended a seminar on the occasion of World Heritage Day. Ms Reena Sharma, the section in-charge kicked the event off by throwing light on the importance of heritage and culture. It was followed by an oath taken by teachers and students pledging to preserve their glorious cultural heritage of the country.
Speaking on the occasion, Headmistress Ms Poonam Bhagat enlightened students about the value and significance of the world heritage which is our legacy from the past, what we live with today, and what we pass in to future generations. Protecting and preserving our legacy was the takeaway from the seminar.

To conclude the day, Activity coordinator, Mrs Rajni Malhotra motivated the students and told them to feel proud to be Indian and mentioned that inspite of diversities, we are one and we must respect our culture.
