School Club Activities


Environment Club - The environment club of KCIS is actively involved in keeping our Earth Green and vibrant. The members of the club guide the students in keeping their surroundings clean and green. Use of polythene bags has almost been stopped. Time to time various activities take place under the able guidance of the teachers and management to make the people aware of Global Warning and how it can be contained. Use of recycled products is encouraged and make useful items from waste. Car pooling is highly professed to avoid extra usage of fuel. The students and all staff members practice the minimum usage of electricity. Wastage of water is prohibited. Special days are also observed i.e. Earth Day, Environment Day etc. Rallies are taken out, posters are displayed and activities like planting saplings, making compost, reduction of noise, air and land pollution is encouraged.

Old age Home

Social Services Club - Social service is a part and parcel of KCIS students. The members of the club enhance and motivate moral values regarding their responsibility towards society. The children are taken to Oldage Home, Orphanage to their responsibility towards them by contributing with donations, food and study material. The club also donated generously to the Help Age India. Old newspapers were collected from the staff and students and the proceedings from it were used to buy stationary the poor and needy students. Collection of clothes and toys were made and given to the labour working in the school premises.

 

Cultural Club - The cultural club of the school is very active and holds cultural programmes from time to time. “Sur Sangam” interschool music competition has become an annual event to reckon with. Various festivals are also celebrated with great fervor various competitions like Rangoli and Diya arrangement, kite flying, rakhi making, card making, candle and diya decoration, interhouse dance and music competitions, debates, reciatition, declamation, calligraphy, Art & Craft, clay modeling are also held. The club also organised a six month guitar workshop. The Summer Camp with all cultural activities was organised to promote rich heritage and culture of our country.

Outing and Adventure Club - The most sought after club organizes trips outings and excursion for the students of the school. The adventure activites like river rafting, trekking, rappling, swimming, cross country are organised to give and all round development to the students. Trips to Uttaranchal, Nainital, Agra, Jhansi, Jaipur, Surinsar, Mansar, Udhaypur, Corbett Park, Gangotri gave the students a thrilling and fist had learning experience. The visit to Waga border enthused patriotism and a feeling of national pride in the young minds.

Scouts and Guides - The Scouts and Guides is a voluntary, non-political, educational movement for young people. It is open to all without distinction of origin, race or creed. It is the largest youth force in the country. It catch-holds the children from their early age. This noble organization started in K.C.I.S in the session 2009-2010.

The purpose of the movement is to contribute to the development of young people for achieving their physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potential. It adheres to the principles like

i) Loyality to one’s country
ii) Reconstruction of society based on democratic values
iii) Responsibility for the development of one-self and respect for the dignity of one’s fellowmen.
